Hardly Heroes is a cheeky, fantasy/adventure adaptation of our group’s homebrew, D&D adventures. Hardly Heroes is a 32 page, monthly release, with no ads. The only filler is side quests.

Arc 1 follows the original DM’s campaign that we have built upon and continue to play today. The inside cover describes how the first arc is in memory to him, since he passed away from cancer a few years ago.

We decided to create Shattermare Comics, the publishing company, as a way to independently produce and distribute Hardly Heroes. We are based in Jacksonville, FL with a core team of four. We contract a team of talented artists to bring our story to life.

Shattermare Comics started as a vehicle to launch Hardly Heroes but we have quickly expanded as a creator-owned publisher and we now promote several other titles that we will have on display at the show.

We are excited for the continued growth of Hardly Heroes and the expansion of our catalog by bringing in new, talented creators to bring their stories to life as we did for our own.
